Inex Partners Oy becomes a partnership customer of the Finnish Customs

Inex Partners Oy and the Finnish Customs will be cooperating more closely. A Memorandum of Understanding between the Finnish Customs and Inex was signed on Thursday, 25 March 2010 in Helsinki. The MoU was signed by mr. Leo Nissinen, Director of the Southern Customs District, and mr. Jorma Vehviläinen, Managing Director of Inex Partners Oy.

The partnership customer agreement was preceded by a preparatory phase, lasting for a bit over a year, during which the customer’s customs activities were reviewed together, risk factors were identified, development areas were defined and the company’s in-house monitoring plan was drafted. Opportunities to make the customs procedures go smoother for Inex Partners Oy were also identified.

The partnership programme aims to ensure through close interaction that customs clearances are made correctly at once. The programme also ensures that the company is offered the best solutions to go through customs procedures smoothly. This brings benefits to the partner company. For the Finnish Customs, the partnership agreement provides better certainty on the quality of the partner's clearances, and a customer's point of view, which is important in further developing of customs services.

With the Inex Partners Oy partnership, SOK is the first trading group to enter into a partnership programme with the Customs.

After the merger, Inex Partners Oy provides sourcing and logistics services for grocery and consumer goods for the S Group’s chains.
